At Glengarry

Glengarry Swimming pool provides great fun especially in the summer months.

Help yourself from a selection of homemade goodies, milkshakes, tea and freshly ground coffee. This is a comfy area where guests are welcome to read, play board games, watch TV or enjoy a cappuccino. Set amongst the charming gardens is the Glengarry Garden Café open weekends and holidays from 8am – 4pm

The Glengarry Pub is a fun and social space for guests to mingle and cheer on the Springboks or Proteas. The pub is open most evenings and closing time is at the barman’s discretion. This is a licenced area. No under 18’s please.

Set in The Little Berg mountain range with the Little Mooi River running through, Glengarry’s 9-hole, par 33 golf course is great fun. It’s challenging design brings all that nature has to offer into play while the neat fairways and greens run true. This course provides ample challenge for the recreational and the more serious golfer as well as being a comfortable learning ground for beginners. Please pay green fees and obtain scorecards from reception.

A rubber tube and the 2km stretch of river that runs through Glengarry provide hours of entertainment for the whole family. The river is clean and safe with small rapids creating just enough of an adrenalin rush to want to do this ride again and again and again! Please ensure children are supervised when the river is fast flowing.

Recently Country Life found the Kamberg to be one of SA’s top 10 mountain biking destinations! Glengarry now has 15km of purpose built single track and 60km or sensational riding and running to some of the most spectacular views! Tracks are mapped and marked. Please ask for a map and number plate at reception.

Glengarry has a 4km family fun walk and a more strenuous 15km mountain trail. We are also just 10 minutes from Highmoor Nature Reserve for brilliant hiking in the majestic Drakensberg with breath-taking views and abundance of flora and fauna. Please ask at Reception.

Glengarry offers brilliant fly fishing – we have a stocked dam and a 2 km stretch of the Little Mooi River. We can’t guarantee a catch but we can guarantee a magnificent setting – enough to tempt even the most jaded fisherman. Please pay rod fee at reception. Note, no spinning allowed on Plum Dam, Windmill Dam is open for Bass fishing.

Glengarry Bowls provides fantastic entertainment for both the discerning bowler and the barefoot bowler. Glengarry Bowls is a full size, quality green. Please collect the Jack and pay green fees at Reception.

Glengarry nursery consists of cuttings cultivated from this unique cold climate garden English Country style Garden. Featuring stunning young Beeches, Birches, Maples, Nyssas and Dogwoods, Viburnums, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Russell Lupin and a sprinkling of annual poppies and pansies; Please take something home to your garden.
